Kimaru, aged 10, lives in a Nairobi slum. He wants to become an aeronautic engineer to support his mother and younger sisters, as, after his father's death, the family doesn't have enough money. His mother spends her days working at the market, leaving Kimaru in charge of the household. He can't even go to school, because there is no money for tuition. Kimaru knows that without an education he can never achieve his dream. He decides to take fate into his own hands and sell eggs to earn money for his schooling. However, caring for chickens is not simple. Will Kimaru succeed in earning money for tuition and a new school uniform? (One World)
