For several year, Mrs. Eli has been fighting to end her life through assisted suicide. Until a recent breakthrough, patients with a mental diagnosis were excluded from the Dutch euthanasia law. The documentary follows the final phase of preparations, during which the patient is accompanied by her longtime psychiatrist. Frederik Polak, a pioneer of unorthodox methods, including the use of medical marijuana. Alleviating the suffering of patients is his main priority. The film closely follows the situation of a person who has decided to end her life with the help of doctors, also drawing attention to the price the therapist pays for carrying out his work.
