Angst

Amid the chaos of a violent anti-immigration protest, a teenage boy is party to an assault. Running from the police, he takes refuge with a local Muslim shop owner whose son has gone missing in the chaos. Thrust together, the boy and woman are forced to confront their respective fears, and begin to build a tentative connection. However, the fine balance of their relationship deteriorates as an innate guilt and suspicion take hold. (Nashville Film Festival)
