Sylvia Hamilton (co-creator of Studio D's New Initiatives in Film programme in the 1990s) has dedicated much of her filmmaking and academic career to telling the stories of Black Canadians, especially those from her home province of Nova Scotia. In this short doc, Hamilton turns her camera on Black students in their majority-white high school, as they talk about whitewashed history books, erasure and racism.
