Lea is a Filipina tour guide working in Japan. Just when she finally starts to settle into a happy new life, things suddenly go black - literally. Then one day a new neighbor, Tonyo, starts showing up at her doorstep with fragrant adobo and a desire for friendship. With Tonyo’s help, Lea reluctantly emerges from her dark corner and into a place of new warmth and light. (San Diego Asian Film Festival)
