A group of young people take a trip to the ruins of Epecuen in order to film a documentary about the fateful events that obliterated this Argentinean town from the map in the eighties. Ignoring all the warnings, they get stranded in the abandoned village. Contrary to what they thought, they begin to realize that they are really not alone. (Sitges Film Festival)

The Argentine-New Zealand horror movie The Young and the Damned is a well-made slasher movie in a setting that invites something horrific to happen. However, if you only change the setting, and use it only to make a movie that has been seen many times before, beat for beat, with nothing extra makes the movie simply a retread without any invention or real idea. Therefore I was not too fond of this movie.
