English Combining the military and fantasy adventure genres in one show is quite interesting. It also has a bit of politics and some pretty interesting subject matter. The main male protagonist is quite easy to watch, and of the other characters, I think Rory Mercury is probably the best. However, the rest of Itami's "harem" also has its charms. I did not find any significant problem with the soundtrack or animation, and I quite liked the dragon, for example. This show was very pleasant to watch even though it was very one-sided. As Mi Nü-Chai writes so brilliantly in their review on FilmBooster, it is all a "very cute Japanese wet dream about their greatness and power". I still liked this Japanese military fairy tale a lot, and I would love to watch the third season with the sub-heading "Zolzal's Revenge", 8/10. ()
