It is perhaps too much of a spiritual work. Spartacus mourns and exchanges his own identity for the faith of his wife. The real world behind the walls is reaching Varro and Doctore senses betrayal in Barca's departure. Ilithyia is becoming uncontrollable. Lucretia has too little space for her own magic.
