Czech Egyptology is credited with many important discoveries. Director Petr Horký follows yet another observing the work of archaeologists led by prof. Miroslav Bárta at a site in Abusir, Egypt. The documentary series focuses on the annual Czech expedition to Egypt highlighting the importance of Czech archaeology. This episode in The Adventures of Archaeology features the team’s daily activities while uncovering a new chapel. Barta reveals the many similarities ancient Egyptian civilisation and modern society share, both in function and development as well as the circumstances that led to the eventual collapse of the ancient civilisation.
