Ships from the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society pursued an illegal fishing vessel, the Thunder, for 10,000 miles over a period of 110 days. Across oceans, Sea Shepherd crews stalked this fugitive fishing boat, considered to be the world’s most notorious poacher. The environmental group trailed the Thunder in an epic game of cat and mouse, maneuvering through an obstacle course of giant ice floes, a cyclone-like storm, clashes between opposing crews, and a near-collision, in what became the longest pursuit of an illegal fishing vessel in history.
