El resto del mundo

Alejandro, an artisan, lives together with his seven-year-old daughter Kiara in a small rented room in San Cristóbal de las Casas. As they try to learn from each other, the place which surrounds them throbs and shakes nonstop. This documentary film also uses fiction as a story-telling resource and introduces sound atmospheres, biographic dramatizations, the film’s director love story with a female character who is simply passing by, and shots which mix sound documents with diverging images and interviews, together with the natural tools of this genre.
