It's amazing to see how Pola Negri managed to turn into a really attractive woman every now and then, even though classic film annals often make her out to be a goddess above everyone else. She had a few moments in Forbidden Paradise, but even that wasn't enough in my eyes to achieve the standard (and not only occasionally) of the perfect Adolphe Menjou. This is a prime example of stars stealing movies from each other. ()
