Kylmää Kiveä (Cold Stone) – the Story of Finnish Climbing documents the past and present of an activity the filmmakers themselves have been deeply involved in for over twenty years. During this period climbing in Finland has evolved from a completely obscure pastime for the few initiated to the fastest growing individual sport in the country. And preceding that, over thirty years of history, starting from grand old man Matti A. Jokinen, who's ascent of the Matterhorn in 1954 marks the beginning of Finnish climbing.
