It's very brisk, very topical, and at times very sexy (in every respect). It's very likely that you'll feel rather more of a dislike for the main character at the beginning and then you’ll root for her all the more. The poor thing. A film for the undemanding viewer who doesn't know what to do with a busy evening. Solid entertainment. (25/10/2020)

This is a very nice surprise that is more thriller than horror, but that doesn't matter here. The story revolves around the beautiful Lola, who earns her money through erotic webcam shows and tries to move up in the rankings. Unfortunately, someone steals her identity, taking almost everything from her and Lola doesn't like that. It's very original, colourful, quite smart, funny, decently acted, disturbing and mysterious at the same time, and above all it is exciting and sexy, something the gentlemen will enjoy, as there are plenty of butts and boobs. The finale is very nicely set up and the only thing that bothered me was that we don't get answers to certain questions. Netflix has been pedaling on the gas incredibly towards the end of the year and has improved significantly since January. Good job. 75% (19/11/2018)

Cam offers an original theme reflecting the obsession of young people with success in the competition of artificial online identities and, what’s more, it is technically well made. But that’s why I expected this movie to develop a broader conspiratorial storyline with a more dramatic outcome. In the end, the movie is a rather intimate portrait of the psychological tremors of a teenage character who is out of touch with reality, and I as a viewer unfortunately didn’t find those tremors interesting. Charming Madeline Brewer incarnates Alice, an ambitious camgirl. Alice aims at climbing the popularity ladder to the top, making great efforts to attract viewers to her online show – even if rather questionable practices are involved in the process. The turning point happens when Alice’s mysterious double is going after her virtual identity. Cam is smart, brisk, sexy and, most of all, a very refreshing horror thriller which opens the topic of webcam erotic services and brings quite a chilling insight on modern internet threats. A neon Kafkaesque tale set in the webcam tease business, it ponders nothing less than the value of the identity of the people who choose to put it on public display and earn some of those virtual dollars. The film is briskly shot, surprising, and as a result I didn't mind that it didn't thoroughly explain why and how everything that happened happened, but dealt mostly with what caused it and how to get out of it (if such a thing is possible).
