Experience the struggles of four disadvantaged fathers trying to raise children on their own in New York City: Nelson, a former gang member, fighting the stigma of being a stay-at-home dad while his girlfriend is pursuing a medical career; Omar, trying to keep his children in school while dealing with his daughter's medical needs and being ordered to parenting counseling; Roy, a former convict now living with his parents, striving to build a better childhood for his son than the one his father built for him; and finally Alex, grappling with the decision of accepting a plea bargain that will result in a one-year prison sentence versus risking a possible 15-year sentence that would force him to miss his son's childhood. DADDY DON'T GO is an affecting look at men struggling to rise above their situations by using selfless love–all while exposing major deficiencies in the legal and administrative systems that serve New York's disadvantaged population.
