Experience the struggles of four disadvantaged fathers trying to raise children on their own in New York City: Nelson, a former gang member, fighting the stigma of being a stay-at-home dad while his girlfriend is pursuing a medical career; Omar, trying to keep his children in school while dealing with his daughter's medical needs and being ordered to parenting counseling; Roy, a former convict now living with his parents, striving to build a better childhood for his son than the one his father built for him; and finally Alex, grappling with the decision of accepting a plea bargain that will result in a one-year prison sentence versus risking a possible 15-year sentence that would force him to miss his son's childhood.
