Zachor - Remember

Zachor (2015 – 2017) observes the memory of places in and around the town of Nováky (Laskár precinct), where both a labor and concentration camp for Jewish inhabitants was located from 1941 to 1944. Its prisoners were deprived of their economic, social, as well as basic civil and human rights. Threatened by deportation, they worked extremely hard to sustain economic operation of the camp, while also managing to turn a profit for the Slovak state. Zachor captures the testimonies of those who were imprisoned in the camp and who spent part of their youth there. (Jeden svet)
