English I was quite pleasantly surprised at how cruel this film is. The gore here is surprising from the very first moment and especially good. The whole film then leads to the notion that it's actually about self-destruction, which is intriguingly utilized within the Australian setting, complete with all its elements. The character played by Hopper deserves to be parodied, but at the same time, he's tragically fascinating. ()
