Meet Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) – an inexperienced, socially awkward high school student who lives with his mother, a sex therapist. Surrounded by manuals, videos and tediously open conversations about sex, Otis is a reluctant expert on the subject. When his home life is revealed at school, Otis realizes that he can use his specialist knowledge to gain status. He teams up with Maeve, a whip-smart bad-girl, and together they set up an underground sex therapy clinic to deal with their fellow students’ weird and wonderful problems. Through his analysis of teenage sexuality, Otis realises he may need some therapy of his own. (Netflix)

Sex Education (2019)

English When I look away from the fact that this series takes place in some kind of an American bubble in the middle of Wales, which doesn’t make a lick of sense, I must say that it’s a great comedy piece, the likes of which I haven’t seen in a while. I felt great while watching it. The characters are wonderful and that’s thanks to that great feeling you get from the story; you just want everyone to be happy. Moreover, it’s a lot about gays and lesbians, and sex in general. In the end, however, the sex is just the icing on the cake, because it’s mostly about a certain community of people who are more open than the rest of the world – which is actually the thing you enjoy the mostabout this. I’m looking forward to more seasons, because I’m really into this. ()
