27 Steps of May

After deeply traumatising experiences, May has isolated herself completely. Friendless, she sits in her room making dolls with her protective father. Painful memories may be brought back by the slightest thing, making May wary of situations where unexpected things might happen. One day, however, a magician moves into the house next door, and through a hole in the wall May makes his acquaintance. The hole keeps growing and finally May climbs throw to help her neighbour perform his tricks. Ravi Bharwani has directed a moving and visually striking drama about breaking out of isolation.
