Newly transferred to Chief of Emergency Medicine-and furious about it-disabled former surgeon Romano expresses his disdain and lack of detailed knowledge of emergency room procedure, angering almost everyone around him and endangering a patient's life. Carter unsuccessfully confronts the bitter Romano. Now performing his job, Weaver sympathizes with Romano but is not immune to his attacks.
