Dark Lies the Island

After the director’s previous films, Dark Lies the Island is a tremendous disappointment. The film, which perhaps was supposed to be some sort of Guy Ritchie-esque story from the Irish boondocks, spins out such a bizarre spiral of skewed relationships and clumsy characters that it reaches the realm of lifeless boredom.
