Ex Stasis (S04E16)

A young mother, Vanessa Nikos (Karen Zippler), who designs jewelry, is excited about an appointment she has with a famous jeweler. However, her meeting ends tragically; she is shot and left brain dead. Her organs are harvested and her kidney is transplanted into Sarah Edgars (Denise Burse). Detectives Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Eames (Kathryn Erbe) believe Vanessa was a target because her appointment was made without the owner, Deven Gehry (Ron Orbach), knowing, and the meeting had to be at a precise time.
