Season 1 was a bolt from the blue. Mini episodes about relationships, glossed by the author of the Sex and the City column. We were just getting to know her friends on the written lines. With how Carrie first met Mr. Divine, with how she and the other girls reacted to the trends of the 90s. All those remarks about monogamy and the horror of motherhood and marriage didn't take on a concrete form until much later.
