English "The Stand" is one of Stephen King's books that he wrote during his recovery from addiction. Among other things, his deep religious faith helped him, so "The Stand" revolves around the conflict between good and evil between God and demonic forces. Both institutions divide their surviving sheep, who survived the apocalypse caused by a virus leakage from a military laboratory. The series suffers from considerable unevenness in quality, with average parts coming after the tense first part, only to build up again toward the end. I liked the portrayal of the demon, as well as Gary Sinise as the main character. However, the series is brought down by an average script that contains a lot of filler, resulting in a typically drawn-out length. The problem is also the lackluster direction and underestimated television budget, resulting in inferior effects. The distinctly religious aspect may not appeal to everyone. Overall impression: 50%.
