Mad Max goes nuts! Consisting of found footage, accompanied by different sound tracks and studio-generated sound samples, this satire juxtaposes serious political imagery with absurd responses, spinning a set of bizarre, yet oddly familiar stories. The footage, pulled mainly from popular film and television, shows recognizable images in entirely different contexts. For instance, beach scenes of arriving refugees from the film Lucky Miles are interspersed with beach scenes of a mother and daughter from the film The Piano. This unconventional motion picture, where cinema-fiction meets historical fact, is truly unlike anything you have ever seen before. (Cinequest Festival)
