Malintzin, The Story of an Enigma

Documentary with dramatization that seeks to highlight the figure of Doña Marina, Malintzin, Malinche, a fundamental character in the conquest and in the creation of miscegenation in Mexico. Involuntary ally and then the lover of Hernán Cortés, her image has been stigmatized and converted over the centuries: it is a contrasting symbol. In the popular culture of Mexico, an image of a traitor was forged at her that even caused the term “malinchismo” to be coined as a synonym for treason, but for the new Mexican histography La Malinche, Mrs. Marina.
