English I will go against the flow, I might be among the few, but I find the humour of The Simpsons so contrived and repetitive that their incredible popularity is one of humankind’s greatest mysteries for me. I never watch it myself, but I pretty often cross paths with it, unfortunately. Everyone around me is rolling on the floor laughing and I just don’t get it. I really don’t know. It’s a shame. ()

English I don't see this yellow phantasmagoria regularly, but whenever I spend 30 minutes with the Simpsons family, my mood improves rapidly. Absolutely original humor, great characters and unforgettable plots. And yet it reflects reality so masterfully. Just an animated show with tremendous charisma... Homer Simpson and Co. became legends in their lifetime. Well, that's to make one burst out in anger! ()

English The first time I encountered the phenomenon of the Simpson family was in a music video on MTV at the end of 1990 and I had no idea that I had the honor to become acquainted with the biggest project and cult series in animated creations. Back then, the crazy visual approach to the characters and their peculiar voices took me by surprise, but as soon as the series premiered on TV, I completely fell for it. It is one of two shows that I give a 100% overall impression and that I don't feel have any obvious wear and tear even many years later. Those who argue that the show has lost its charm and fallen into mediocrity rather reflect the fatigue of individual viewers from a project that has been going on for so long. The series was milder in many respects at the beginning, and only as time went on and it was necessary to keep the viewers glued to the screens, the creators toughened up. The fact that the series managed to stay in prime time for so long is unbelievable in terms of the American television market. The series was also successful in practically all the countries where it was broadcast, and in many cases, it is the main source of information about American society. :-) A whole range of American celebrities competed for the honor of being mentioned or playing a small role in the series. The large creative team works wonderfully with pop culture references and maintains a style of ironic exaggeration and parodying of ideas about American society. By sympathizing with the ordinary everyday person and questioning the image of a pious and noble American citizen, the writers seem to align themselves with the American liberal left. This can be seen in a lot of references to Republicans, pathetic patriotism, and the highly sensitive area of religious faith in America. The series even received criticism from the American president for damaging the country's image abroad... At the same time, the creators do not idealize the little character at all and present him with all his weaknesses and vices. There are a lot of catchphrases, jokes, and crazy characters, thanks to which it's still worth sitting in front of the TV screen and listening to the tones of the familiar theme song even years later. English What else can be said about one of the best TV shows of all time? The movie is almost here, and I just hope it's not foreshadowing the end of the series. That should happen once I’m no longer in this world. :) ()

English The Simpsons is simply a classic TV show that I have watched since I was a little kid and that I still enjoy today after all these years. Sure, some may argue that the latest season is not as great as it used to be back in the day when the first seasons aired. However, I find it is still very good, and I still enjoy it. Plus, most of the characters are just great, and you just cannot help but love Homer, Mr. Burns, Moe, and many others or even kind of find yourself in some of the characters. So, for me, "Excellent!". 10/10 ()

English Yellow madness, who wouldn't be affected? The Simpsons is the cult classic of all cult classics. True, they’ve run out of steam in the last few seasons and start ripping themselves off a bit, but it's still unbeatable fun. The best fun "something" made in the USA. ()

English Growing up, hardly a day went by when I didn't see a bald Homer on TV with a remote in one hand and a can of beer in the other, a patient and caring Marge who didn't actually have blue hair, a mischievous Bart making fake phone calls to Moe, an intellectual Lisa refusing meat and any breaking of the rules, or little Maggie who was already so skilled with a gun. And there hasn't been a day that hasn't gone by when this yellow crew hasn't lifted my spirits and provided me with 20 minutes of the best and most effective humour that I would gladly lay down my life for. I love the humor, I love silly Homer, I love greedy Burns, I love Springfield, I love The Simpsons... Yeah, and I almost forgot: D'OH!! ()

English This is yet another cult TV show that goes completely over my head. Granted, I have never seen more than like ten episodes in my short sorry life, however, I would not think that watching some more episodes could change that. The vast majority of long-running TV shows that consist of stand-alone episodes just go over my head, and The Simpsons is no exception. I can understand why others enjoy it so much, it is clear to me that some people could not imagine life without it, however, I have just never been impressed. Sure, every episode has at least one funny thing about it, or there is an allusion to something topical, however, I really could not find something that grabbed me and got me more into the show. It is a shame. ()
