English Widescreen opulent locations, Beethoven’s "Moonlight Sonata" and a storyline worthy of a naïve short film. Or a horror film for children, but without Guillermo. Even the point offered in the epilogue, which is supposed to add something to the story, is hopelessly contrived. [Sitges FF] ()

English The main idea behind this movie is quite interesting and it is beautifully captured by the camera, whose opening with its first shots of a big dark house promises to deliver a very strong horror atmosphere, but unfortunately, it turns out to be quite a mawkish and monotonous film. With each passing minute, the audience must lower their expectations, and then lower them again, because for a very long time it is only a mysterious drama without enough progression and evocation of terror. Playing the horror genre cards, it shuffles the pack to deliver an almost Shyamalan twist at the end, but this certainly does not save the audience from the insipid ideas generated in the previous hundred minutes.
