When Peter learns that Joe has been secretly working on a children's book about a disabled squirrel for years, he encourages Joe to try to get it published. Joe does indeed find a publisher, but chooses to have the book published under the pen name of David Chicago in order to keep his fellow police officers from teasing him about it. When Joe does a poor job at a public reading of his book, Peter jumps in with a more animated reading, enthralling the kids. And so Joe's publisher asks Peter to take over as the public face of David Chicago. This doesn't sit well with Joe, especially as Peter increasingly fails to honour the message of Joe's book. (BBC)
