When Father Went Biking

Miki, riding back home in a loose-fitted shirt, that, and only underwear, cycles through an empty suburban street filled with picturesque, white-picket-fence houses to a frustrated April, his daughter. Inside, Miki and April’s estranged relationship is on full display; it’s as if Miki only views his daughter as his caretaker. Reluctant and dismissive, Miki clashes with April over trivial, mundane things, such as putting on pants, eating, and bathing. However, April, adamant in her ways and with frustration already high, fights back, causing a major event to shock Miki. With a new lease of life, Miki is on a mission to connect with his daughter in the only way he can. (Orlando Film Festival)
