Plots(1)

Easter Island is the most geographically remote place on earth. Since the arrival of the Dutch in 1722, people have been trying to unlock the island's secrets. Accused of everything from ecocide to cannibalism, the native Rapanui have had little in their history to be proud of, but this documentary follows Dr Hunt and Dr Lipo as they journey to Easter Island to challenge the idea that the islanders were the root of the island's problems, concluding that no archaeological evidence proves this. They also uncover new archaeological clues to one of the most baffling mysteries of all time - how they managed to build and move its enigmatic Moai. (official distributor synopsis)
