In a 10th grade class Melissa gives her literature exam blank. When her teacher recriminates the fact, Melissa attacks her claiming that everything she has to learn in school is of no use to her. Between the laughter and the ridicule the teacher will do everything possible to defend her position as a teacher and as a person and will find herself in the difficult task of justifying the discredited education she imparts.
