Nissan Patrol

Art student Jane is hitchhiking and gets picked up by an SUV, driven by a brokenhearted former soldier with a macho mentality. The young man reads the free-spirited young woman wrong and a simple ride turns into a nightmare for Jane. The short film Nissan Patrol is about a situation that triggers casual everyday violence. The young man who has experienced hardships in his life, is unable to accept it, but channels it into a violent impulse. The rape attempt may be triggered by the small mundane things - the girl’s adventurous appearance, macho mentality “this is what all the women want” or “when you’re hitchhiking you better be prepared to pay” but most of all, inability to value the reasons and consequences of your actions.
