Joseph

Joseph is a wealthy Jamaican doctor with an amazing best friend from Ghana who he met in medical school. Kweku's stories about Ghana and Africa contrast against the perspectives thrown out by popular media and leave Joseph skeptical and reticent. But the voices of his grandfather (a maroon) and his friend Kweku keep hammering in his head. Meanwhile, disapproval from his wealthy family who oppose his views on Africa, a conniving sister and conflict over the family’s medical legacy boils over and very nearly tears the family apart. But Joseph remains driven to determine the truth. (Pan African Film Festival)
