The three-part drama series Quiz is based on the extraordinary and sensational true story of how Charles and Diana Ingram attempted an 'audacious heist' on the quiz show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? On September 9, 2001, Major Ingram, his wife Diana and an accomplice, Tecwen Whittock, who was sitting in the audience, were accused of cheating their way to a million pounds on what was the most popular game show on earth. The couple stood trial for conspiring by coughing during the recording to signify the correct answers to the multiple choice questions posed to the Major by host, Chris Tarrant. (Home Box Office)

Quiz (2020)
A great British mini-series that emanates exactly what I like about British production – not overused and original life story that is kind of ordinary at the same time as well and has an unobtrusive sense of humor. Moreover the British have a gift to show life stories in a naive form. That is what they do and when it is done well it is really a pleasure to watch. And what’s more, this 3 episode long series not only tells a story about a millionaire but with its premise reaches also behind the scenes of this popular TV show which was really interesting for me. Overall I have to say that even though it had 3 episodes there wasn’t one boring moment for me. Quite the opposite, I learned quite a few things and had fun as well. So why shouldn’t something this good get 5-star rating?
