The Nobel Prize entails prestige and public interest. But great attention comes with great social responsibility. How to make effective use of one’s popularity and be a good “Citizen Nobel” to society? Swiss biophysicist Jacques Dubochet faced that question at the age of 78. In 2017, he won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry and became a scientific rockstar not only in his alma mater in Lausanne. The first half of the film follows the ageing scientist, who ponders how to use popularity to lead society in the right direction. In the second half of the film, he embarks on a new life journey in environmental activism and shows how an older person can have an impact on the younger generation with confidence and enthusiasm.
