Krajobraz przed cisza gives a subdued impression of the hamlet of Suchodoly in the Polish lake district Muzarian. Or better: the film shows what is left of it. A stork keeps watch on a ramshackle roof. Bees are flying undisturbed across empty rooms without someone chasing them away. There is a rusty pan on the stove and in the washing room some forgotten pegs are on the clothes line. Ghost town Suchodoly. In the nineteenth century the first people settled here. Today, the village has exactly one inhabitant left. (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam)
