Philip Tierney and Sheila Wayne get married, but something stands in the way of their happiness. Sheila is having horrible nightmares and doesn't know why. Through therapy, she discovers what has been triggering the dreams: as a child, she witnessed members of Philip's family being brutally murdered with an axe.
