"I'm Laura, I'm 14 years old. Anne is my best friend. Six months ago, she died of leukaemia. "After she was diagnosed with cancer, Anne came up with the idea of a documentary about her and her friend Laura. She was convinced she would recover and wanted other sick children to draw strength from her story, but she didn't end up making it. Now, Laura explains what Anne meant to her and what she continues to mean. She shows the tangible memories she still has of her friend, like the "Anne necklace", with a medallion holding her ashes. "I wonder which part of her body is in here." She also pays a visit to Anne's house, where her room is exactly the same as when she was alive. In addition to Laura, Anne's younger brother Daan also talks about the loss. "It's weird being the only child. "The memories are complemented by photographs and footage of Anne during her illness, at home and in the hospital, including material she shot herself. Made as part of the Kids & Docs Workshop, Laura & Anne 4 Ever is a touching tribute to a best friend. (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam)
