Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael

The imminent return to the sleepy town of Clyde of the only celebrity it ever spawned - Roxy Carmichael - after an absence of some fifteen years sparks off a wave of excitement. Not least affected is fourteen-year-old loner Dinky Bossetti (Winona Ryder), an aspiring artist who comes to believe that she is Roxy's illegitimate daughter. Dinky becomes determined on a reunion with the woman she believes to be her long-lost mother, but the only person who knows whether Dinky's conviction has any basis in reality - Roxy's ex-husband Denton Webb (Jeff Daniels) - isn't talking.
