Still suffering from the horrors of a prison camp during the Korean War, Allen Eaton finds himself back in civilian life at last. Released from a military hospital, he returns to his job in a public relations firm, only to find that his partner has been killed in a car accident and that the firm's new owners have very different ideas about how to run things.
