This is the most straightforward The Hire in terms of plot (meaning "not playing games and not shocking in the end") and technically the most well-executed. Director Carnahan stylishly but also clearly orchestrates a thrilling chase between a beautiful convertible and a helicopter. Don Cheadle in the passenger seat is supposed to have some deeper meaning (related to the content of the shipment), but the strength of the idea doesn't quite overshadow the masterfully executed form. The simplest but all the more beautiful The Hire.

What an amazing ride! From beginning to end. The images of the blasted road around the speeding BMW Z4 are brilliant.

What a blast! Something's always going on from start to finish. The action awesome and full of ideas... A nice little thing even for the discerning action-movie viewer.
