The last episode of "Three's Company" - "Friends and Lovers (2)" - was the beginning for Three's a Crowd. Jack Tripper (John Ritter) met Vicky Bradford (Mary Cadorette) and fell in love. Vicky denies Jack the marriage proposal, but they agree to live with each other. The apartment was upstairs from Jack's restaurant, Jack's Bistro. Vicky's father, James Bradford (Robert Mandan), decides to buy the restaurant and continually has surprise visits them disturbing Jack and Vicky when they are trying to get a life together.
