Agatha Christie: Poirot - Murder in the Mews (1989) (episode)

English A truly convoluted case tailor-made for the grey brain cells, where we practically don’t know what we are up to until the end. I must commend the non-violently built tension, which during the mutual "flirtation" between suicide and murder managed to be maintained until the final minutes.

Agatha Christie: Poirot - The Adventure of the Clapham Cook (1989) (episode)

English The first case of the grey brain cells starring David Suchet offers a somewhat more sober performance with the main character, a Belgian with a characteristic moustache, whom many people take for a Frenchman and who can playfully crack even the most difficult case, but has a real problem with hammering an ordinary nail. Even though the crime in this story takes place almost out of sight, it still doesn't lack a certain amount of suspense and a good plot. In short, the beginning of a modern-day Poirot, which is followed by better pieces, but still a delight.

Dragons: Gift of the Night Fury (2011)

English As far as the animation is concerned, it is a beautiful Christmas special to the amazing feature film How to Train Your Dragon, with a nice story and a nice twist at the end. Plus, who could resist those Toothless peepers, they can easily beat even the cat from Shrek.

The Day the Earth Stopped Masturbating (2012)

English An incredibly wacky short film that is (more than) slightly bonkers, but entertaining as well. Like the fact that it went on air the same year the Mayan(!) prophecy said the world would end.

The Birdcage (1996)

English The Birdcage offers nearly two-hours of refreshing entertainment, standing especially on the amazing performances of the actors, of which I must highlight Nathan Lane and Hank Azaria, who entertained me royally. Filled with humorous situations, disguises, mistakes, pratfalls and raised little fingers, the film wipes away sexual and religious prejudices as well as weighs in on the political scene, all in a very intelligent manner. In short, a well and honestly made comedy that definitely deserves the audience's attention.

Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon (2010) (TV movie)

English A pleasantly spent quarter of an hour with a short to the amazing feature film How to Train Your Dragon, brimming with both humour and action. I was most amused by Gobber's animatedly distinct tales of his various encounters with Boneknapper, dominated by the hammerhead-whale and hammhead-yak, and the phlegmatic and constantly chewing sheep alongside.

Far Far Away Idol (2004)

English Shrek meets American Idol! An average Shrek short that doesn't offend, but doesn't amaze either. Personally, I'd give first place to the three blind mice.

850 meters (2013)

English An incredibly silly short, marred by somewhat shoddy animation and the permanently stupid expression of the valiant knight, but on the other hand, the unconventional twist and a few good (albeit crazy) ideas were the plus points.

The Ark (2007)

English The Ark is a very melancholic animated short that really managed to catch my attention. The animation, the look of the characters, the soundtrack, the theme and the ending could all be described in two words: very depressing.

The Arctic Giant (1942)

English A Superman short in which "The Cape" tries to protect the city and the woman of his dreams from a giant lizard who likes to destroy everything it comes across. I should point out that the monster's appearance was closer to a Pre-Godzilla than a Tyrannosaurus, and I really didn't understand Lois Lane's stupid actions, but whatever.
