The Boy Next Door (2008)

English An enjoyable short film with an interesting premise that could have used a little more work, but it's still a pleasant quarter of an hour

Silver Road (2006)

English A short and unremarkable film, but incredibly cute and with a likeable cast (actually only two actors). The story may not be original, but together with the beautiful rural setting and the pleasant music it makes a nice whole

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (2012)

English I liked the last part of the (adored by snotty teenage girls and hated by almost everyone else) Twilight saga to the extent possible. Tons of sighs, countless stupid and blank stares, lots of WTF scenes ... just classic Twilight! The soundtrack was again nice, especially the music for the final character recap. The decisive "battle" was very gritty, action-packed and drastic, I'm not at all surprised at what followed, as I think most fans (fangirls?) would have suffered a heart attack. In short, the latest installment of the vampire-werewolf (I don't know why?) phenomenon didn't surprise me, but it didn't disappoint either, so I was actually happy with the outcome

Just Before Dark (2009)

English I'm not an avid Star Wars fan or detractor, so maybe that's why I couldn't enjoy this (supposedly) comedic one-off. Granted, I've never seen anything like it, but an idea isn't everything when it's not channeled properly either

Love Sick (2011)

English A short romantic film featuring Justin Bieber references, which amused me the most. Otherwise, it is a pretty bland film that offers nothing I haven't seen before

How to Hook Up Your Home Theater (2007)

English I know from my own experience that manufacturers should put their own map to the manuals. Even so, this animated short failed to properly entertain and make me laugh, which is a shame given the premise.

Summer Rain (2006)

English I was quite curious about Antonio Banderas as a director, but after watching his film I have to say I was very disappointed. I found it outrageously long-winded and full of unfulfilled attempts at poeticization and intense expression of feelings. None of the characters appealed to me in any significant way, nor was I able to empathise with any of them. A film that pretends to be something it is not - it is too shallow and does not go into depth at all, which is what I would expect from a film like this.

Thieves (2007)

English Thieves is an average film with a bland cast and a simple (if somewhat original) story. I'm not saying that I was bored, but this film is a quickly forgettable affair that unfortunately only builds up at the very end. In short, a film from which much more could have been squeezed out, but it still doesn't offend - a light dramatic recreation for leisure.

Curfew (2012)

English Sophia and Richie is a short that stands out especially for its sincerity and likeable cast. It doesn't matter that it's a simple story, because everyone knows that there is beauty in simplicity. The best part, of course, was the bowling scene

Manhattan (1979)

English Manhattan didn't awaken bursts of laughter in me, rather it impressed me with its highly intellectual and sophisticated script, in which, paradoxically, I didn't understand much of the dialogue at all. The plot is neither complicated nor unorthodox, it is simply a story from life. The cast was really perfect, especially Diane Keaton and Mariel Hemingway. I liked the music, which reminded me terribly of the atmosphere of the music clubs and entertainment venues of the first half of the 20th century. A typically conversational Woody Allen, who, although he doesn't wow or burst your diaphragm with laughter, nevertheless captivates and puts a smile on your face.
