Catch It! (2015)

English Catch it! deserves one star from me, especially for the presence of meerkats. Otherwise, it is a very poor piece, both from a technical and story point of view. The criminally untapped potential that these little creatures hold!

Jubilee (2017)

English The British Queen is inseparably associated with her loyal Welsh Corgis, who are not only "champions" at crawling up and down stairs, but also at catching blown hats, as the viewer will see when watching this short. I liked the interesting, if simple, animation and the many allusions to British rules and customs.

The Box (2017) (student film)

English A short film equivalent of Mousehunt, with a less cunning rodent and a nice, yet somewhat stale message about unexpected friendship and addressing the loneliness of old people. In terms of animation, it's nothing groundbreaking, but even so, this short with a nice music score doesn't offend.

Ice Pepper (2017)

English The interesting visuals and nice music are killed by bad editing and a strange ending. Compared to The Emperor's Journey, this time the French stepped a bit wrong in these waters.

Caught in a Ham (2019)

English Spider-Ham in action with a touch of the old Looney Tunes will is nothing to write home about. There are a few quite funny jokes, but unfortunately they have a poor shelf life and disappear as soon as they are uttered. From a visual point of view, it is an interesting piece of work, but by the end it is a bit wild, which is what the feature-length Spider-Man was.

Smash and Grab (2019)

English Smash and Grab has its charm despite the weaker animation and its story reminded me a bit of the feature film Wall-E at first. The idea of the film is simple but meaningful. A story that says a lot without using words.

Scrat: Spaced Out (2016)

English Scrat's space adventures in a hundred different ways, from the origin of the solar system, to the incredibly funny gravity episode, to the perils of teleportation and more advanced species. All in the spirit of Scrat's endless pursuit of his dream acorn. Even though this is the umpteenth Scrat short and basically recycles tried-and-true gags and jokes, it definitely entertains more than the fifth feature.

Pip (2018)

English On the one hand, there is an interesting concept with a dog academy and a nice lesson, on the other hand, there is weaker animation and a bland story. Pip doesn't offend, but it doesn't impress either.

Purl (2019)

English Purl tries to convey the lesson that it is important to be yourself, no matter how you are viewed by others, in a nice, but still obvious way, and if you stand out from the crowd, there is nothing wrong with that, because there are enough monotonous sheep already. It's a nice, but somewhat tired theme.

My Best Friend (2018)

English My Best Friend offers, on the one hand, a quite nicely sketched story about the friendship between two teenage boys from different backgrounds, but on the other hand, I felt like something was missing; I felt a certain emotional incompleteness and brevity. The search for self can be a strong theme, but in this case there was a sense of untapped potential. But I must not forget to praise the beautiful locations and the nice musical score.
