When You're Strange (2009)

English If you love the group, you'll probably be pleased, but ultimately, this is just everything that can be found on the internet and nothing much more. It's simply put into one collage, where it's not so much the story of The Doors as it is the story of Jim Morrison. Great singer, great band, interesting stories, but this is just such a bland tribute.

The Mighty Ducks (1992)

English It's probably because I love hockey, but also because the movie is really chill, and you know it's gotta end well. Emilio Estevez definitely doesn't disappoint, and in his role, he's just as likable as his character should be. Plus, I have a soft spot for the Ducks, although I'm thinking of the Anaheim ones.

The Food Guide to Love (2013)

English At first, it looks like it could be a funny, maybe even a bit daring romantic comedy where food plays an important role. The food is there, but in the end, it's not that important. It's funny in places, but it's definitely not a bold romantic comedy. It's a pretty average affair in the end.

Red Dog: True Blue (2016)

English A good film, but it's just a classic sequel. The original Red Dog was great, different, and funny. This is just trying to get a little more out of it. It's nice how movies reference themselves, but this sequel just isn't as funny anymore, it's not as different, it's just good, and watching it won't offend anyone.

When Marnie Was There (2014)

English Sure, this isn't Miyazaki, but it's also not a bad animated film. I feel like that doesn't happen with movies from Japan, at least not if it's still Studio Ghibli. Still, this film is not as memorable as others the studio has made before. It's almost as if the transition to a more serious subject without the exuberant fantasy didn't work out so well.

Condemned (2015)

English Condemned is a film that doesn't even get you with its atmosphere because it doesn't really have anything to offer. It's just playing with grossness, which isn't everywhere, but pops up here and there in quite decent execution. Especially if you're bothered by boils on the human body, you'll find plenty of them here. The plot, however, is not interesting, the characters ultimately boring and the course expected. Simply a bad horror.

Whatever Works (2009)

English I don't know Larry David much, but it's clear he has a sense of humor, and you can see that he and Allen really hit it off. His character is not exceptional, but some of his speeches just sit in the right places and make you laugh or even think. Unfortunately, the plot is a bit weaker, so Allen and his actors save what they can with dialogue or even monologues.

The Babymoon (2017)

English It looks like a movie about a family member being kidnapped and the other one trying to set them free. It's actually nothing else. However, it is presented with ease and humor, which simply appealed to me. This film doesn't take itself too seriously, and thanks to that, it is quite a pleasant change in similar movies.

Red Dog (2011)

English On one hand, it's "just" a film about a dog - and actually a cat too - but the way the film is presented, its form, how wonderfully offbeat it is when you least expect it, how the actors take it seriously yet not seriously at the same time, all of that makes it interesting, and it's definitely not just another variation of family films like Lassie.

Rabbit Hole (2010)

English The film has a simple premise - a couple must come to terms with the loss of their young son in an accident. The subject matter is so simple that this could only stand on one thing - the performances. And they were fully utilized. I'm not saying the topic is simple, but it's not explicitly developed; it's the acting performances that make the film good.
