The Blue Lagoon (1980)

English Cynicism is a bitch and nostalgia is even bigger. Brooke Shields as my childhood love and a story that, at one point, clarified many things for me.

The Secret of My Succe$s (1987)

English Fox used to be an almost infallible machine for a good mood. How else to explain that despite the huge schematic path to the top in an 80s style, they can still have so much fun with her.

Kamarád do deště II - Příběh z Brooklynu (1992)

English One of the Soukup's peaks, which once seemed to me as a really excellent film thanks to its romantic storyline. In the end, it is just an average film, but the gloomy disco-club atmosphere is superb.

Spider-Man (2002)

English I remember how, after the first viewing, I remained sitting very disappointed. I was expecting a ride full of intricate relationships, grand action scenes, and deep emotions. And what I saw was a simple fairy tale about good and evil, and at the same time, the drama of an individual rejected by society. And the second time, I stayed sitting again. But this time, for the opposite reason. What I wanted to have but didn't on the first go, was suddenly there. Just more intimate, pleasant, and appropriate. Raimi's approach may ignore the details of the comic, but it works more than well. However, the following two parts are a bit further away.

Total Recall (1990)

English Sometimes, all a successful sci-fi movie needs is to set up the scenery and intensify the music. Verhoeven takes a somewhat questionable approach, unleashing his twisted taste and giving Arnie the feeling that he is playing a cleverly packaged game against all the evil members of society. No, this is not the way. Blood fits in Robocop, and dealing with an unconventional marital crisis fits in a more open satire.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)

English The original Jurassic Park has matured into an absolute classic and even the sequel that I originally hated eventually blossomed into a tolerable adventure. Although I still dislike all the selfish-military actions and the final party with Godzilla bothers me greatly, the pleasant, nature-loving message stands out even more. I have finally made peace with The Lost World, but I could easily do without its existence.

Jurassic Park III (2001)

English A fantastic action ride with a healthy dose of clichés, but surprisingly with enough chase sequences and once again an amazing feeling of discovering animals. Additionally, the flying creatures at the end are a very successful revitalization. After the botched second installment, an unexpected flood of triumphant aces in combination with the "second Spielberg" Johnston.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

English Amazement, lightsabers, Amidala, destiny, Vader, "I hate you!", the discovery of the emperor, and above all, the most outstanding episode of the entire saga. Thrilling and brilliant even after repeated viewings. Lucas' monument.

Million Dollar Baby (2004)

English An incredibly intense film of immense emotion, touching, comforting, and chilling, that nails you to your seat and doesn't let go until the final catharsis. Due to its emotional charge, it will never leave my mind, especially thanks to the captivating shadowplay that shrouds the gymnasium and the three flawless performances that impressively stand out from it.
