Biography
Having developed intense work as a short filmmaker, Carlos Marques-Marcet shot his first feature film, 10.000 km (2014), for which he garnered five awards at the Malaga Festival, including the Golden Biznaga for Best Film and the Silver Biznaga for Best Director, as well as the Goya for Best New Director. His second feature film, Tierra firme (Anchor and Hope, 2017), had its international premiere at the BFI London Film Festival and received two Gaudi Awards, for Best Film and Best Actor. Los días que vendrán (The Days to Come) premiered at the Rotterdam Festival and landed the Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress Awards at the Malaga Festival.
