Biography (1)
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Carla Gallo graduated from Cornell University with a degree in theater arts. Gallo's first major film role was in David O. Russell's Spanking the Monkey. This breakout performance garnered Carla an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Female, and the film won the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival.
